looks basically to be a 2D extrusion, correct?

I really don't know. These were taken by a friend of mine. I don't want to spend $170 for a stock just for the plastic spacer.

Will need center-to-center of the circles ideally, or how far apart the circles are, plus diameter. |

Here is what I got from him. I do believe it is extruded.
Top tube dia. (w/ sleeve) = 19.5mm Bottom tube dia. = 15.8mm Spacer width = 15mm Gap between tubes = 11mm Thanks |

Here is an idea/request. Thanks for any replies.
The ENVIS night vision monocular is a budget friendly Gen. 3 monocular. It was originally designed for air crews to use in an escape and evade situation. These units are designed to be hand held, but can be helmet mounted. There are two design features that are commonly seen as detractors. First, the battery compartment door uses a small screw that sometimes fails, or the door itself cracks. Second, a half shell adapter is needed to properly align the housing with a J-arm. The half shell slides onto the housing and repositions the mounting hole. The idea is to print a half shell adapter that incorporates the battery door as one piece. It could slide on or off as a unit, eliminating a failure point. That simple fix would be a great upgrade. As printers, is that something that seems viable? With the number of ENVIS units in circulation, it might even make a good side hustle. Here are a couple of pictures to illustrate. (File photo that shows 1/2 shell adapter, fitted to ENVIS housing.) Attached File (Photo that shows battery compartment door) Attached File |

I was pointed to this thread when I posted a request in Team. Didn't know this thread existed.
I need something non-firearms related printed. I need two rings printed to help me get my pullover rubber diving dry gloves on. They need to be about 5.5" in diameter and about 2"-3" wide. Some people use pieces of PVC pipe for this, but I tried several home improvement/hardware stores around me. None will custom cut small PVC pieces and I can't do it myself (no tools, workshop, etc.). Please see this video. The rings are shown about the 2:10 mark. I can't get the file for the rings. It's unavailable. You'd have to make up the file yourself and I have absolutely no clue how easy or difficult that is! If I could have these by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, that would be fabulous. It would be ideal to have them for my cavern/intro to cave diving class Thanksgiving weekend, so I wouldn't have to ask buddy or instructor for help with my gloves! Thank you! My kids saw this Apollo boot print picture and want a cookie stamp. I looked all over and can't find a ready made one but I did dig up a 3D printed file and tutorial. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3760269 Anyone interested in printing? I suppose a size of 2.5" long would suffice-perfect for cookies. I have no idea on materials to use. The kids saw this Pic and were intrigued. Attached File |

I have a Remington V3 Tactical that I want t o put a Magpul SGA 870 Stock on. The Remington Tac-13 (V3) uses the same birds head grip as the Tac-14 (870) by using an adapter. An Arf buddy has leant me his adapter to have fabricated. The machinist I was going to use said he could do it but it would be expensive. A guy that I work with said he had a friend that could 3d print anything so I gave it to him. A month later the part comes back and 'Mr. I can 3d print anything' says he would need to purchase a new program and probably a new computer to run it. Even then he may not be able to use his 3d printer.
Has anybody here done this sort of thing or would they be interested in it? I have one other person locally the may be able to machine a new adapter. If not that's my 3 strikes and I'm out. @PNFLDS Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

It basically fills the gap, changes the angle, and adapts the dimensions of the V3 receiver to the dimensions of the 870 stock. The stock that I am going to use is the Magpul SGA 870 Stock which is made of Magpul polymer. The stock attachment bolt goes through the stock, the adapter, and then threads into the back of the receiver. So I guess it is mostly used as a washer, a very special washer. |

Even soluble supports (unless they dissolve 100% on their own) won't work. ETA: At a 45 degree angle, there is minimal hidden supports, and in the threads a bit, but soluble support material should allow you to get it out enough, then it would be jelly like and turn it on with built-in thread locker |
