Just a reminder that neither @Verizon, @ATT, nor @comcast have answered any questions about why they beam channels like OAN & Newsmax into millions of homes. Do they have any second thoughts about distributing these channels given their election denialism content? They won't say.

What if Congress passed a bill requiring networks like FoxNews, OAN and Newsmax to remove “news” from their names and make opinion programs (radio and tv) include a disclaimer after every commercial break that this is opinion and that statements may not be factually accurate...

It doesn’t matter in the context of this discussion. This is serious conversation about ratcheting the censorship game up another couple of notches. Even worse, they’re doing it simply because these channels are perceived as being extremely conservative (or at least that’s the way it’s being framed). Where do you think that leaves people further to the right on the political spectrum?

We should be up in arms about that regardless of who they’re trying to censor.

We only have ourselves. Depending on some corporate media entity to defend inalienable rights is like hoping there will ever be a fair election again in the United States.
