A 10 ohm 1 watt metal oxide resistor?
I'm changing the turn signals on my Yamaha Zuma 125 from incandescent to LED. I bought a LED flasher relay but all 4 lights flash. After some google-ing, I found out I need 2 resistors as mentioned earlier. Now that Radio Shack is gone, where could I buy resistors locally? |

www.jameco.com carries many of the component parts the Rat Shack used to.
Aldo, try www.digikey.com and www.mouser.com. |

You know that Radio Shack still exists, don't you?
There was a "2-tier system" within RS. First tier was the corporate-owned RSs. 2nd tier was the shops which were franchises: owned by independant individuals. The 2nd tier shops are (mostly) still open, and still have those racks and drawers of individual components. Google shows at least 3 locations in Ohio. |

Or ebay. Seriously - What you're trying to do is not unusual - and plenty of folks sell the part you need to do it. View Quote It is a fair point that these stores and similar have mostly disappeared. Many reasons for that and I’d argue most of them are valid, but it does suck when you (or the OP in this case) are in the middle project and now has to wait for online delivery. |

Are you near a Micro Center? I don't know for sure that they'll have what you need, but I do know that the one near me has a section where they sell soldering stuff and breadboards and whatnot.
ETA: Here's what they show on their website: https://www.microcenter.com/category/4294910343/electronic-components |

My Radio Shack haul from earlier this week. There are still a few around.
Attached File Went in for solder, flux, tinner and braid. Then he offered me this station that has been discontinued for years. He had a lot of new/updated stations, But I have this same station that I have put hundreds of hours on and it works better than my Weller station. I told him make me a deal I cant refuse.. He came back with 45 bucks. Well... I couldn't refuse. Without knowing where you live, that might be a tough one. I would see if there are any audio/astrostart installers. I have a small shop that caters to home theater, car audio and sat/cable installers that carries that stuff here locally, I hit that up fairly often. |

any of your friends work for a company that has a maintenance dept? If so have them go to the maintenance shop and see if they can get you one.

Why it how does someone with 6k post count start a thread like this? Google/bing/your choice in search engine brings up multiple site to purchase.
I guess I am just venting after dealing with stupid customers today that can’t figure out the simplest of shit. |

craigslist most likely, unless you have some kind of electronics supply or a repair shop, doubt the repair shop would sell but you never know.

Just a thought. A BWD or ignition ballast resistor from your local parts store? I am unsure on their specs. But I have two in my ZX6R for the led turn signals. It works! |
