Saw your post on Rennlist as well- congrats, enjoy!  Now time to check off all of the "new to me GT3" boxes:  clear front markers, center bypass, side deletes, Crazy Eddie bolster protectors, change the seat belts to orange if you prefer (I'd be interested in your yellow set).

PDK is the better transmission. Across the board, objectively better.

Since blue is already taken, I will take White.

A PDK GT3 in the hand is worth 2 6MT GT3s in the bush for sure. As much as I like rowing gears in a car that fast I think I’d rather keep 2 hands on the wheel.

As much as I like green 911s it seems a little played out at the moment and I can’t imagine a better GT3 color than what you’ve got.

Congrats! One day, for me - hopefully sooner than later I'll finally have a 911.

You are much better off with PDK - I'm not Mark Webber, but I have a lot of gongs from racing various Porsche cars.  All 991 cups cars have PDK - there are very good reasons for this e.g. money shifts etc.

Enjoy it, don't baby it, drive it hard - they actually run better if you drive them positively.

If you ever get the chance, step into a RS - you'll enjoy it a lot.  Also, pay for coaching - with someone that knows GT cars, this will really lift your game.

The problem you now face, having owned a Porsche GT car, is nothing else compares.  Everything else feels numb in comparison.

Obviously these are first world problems, but then again, in my experience you've probably worked very hard for the badge.

Porsche has notoriously underrated power figures, the explanation I’ve heard that makes sense to me is they provide a minimum figure. Also if you are comparing engine HP the Porsche has the advantage at the wheels, less drivetrain loss in a rear engine RWD setup than anything else. Stupid fast car  regardless. I hope you drive the shit out of it and go through many sets of tires.

Thats not really the case, they have never done ringers its a myth - :) Porsche engines are released to very tight tolerances - the reason they are quick, HP for HP in the dry, is because of traction and corner grip.  They are a complete package, no one component dominates.  Also their major components were often developed on the track e.g. the PDK is a classic case in point and the current GT3/RS engine is the base engine for the RSR race car.

The real sleeper on the road is the PDK Cayman GTS - beautifully balanced all round performance sports car.

911s aren’t just quick in the dry. Best snow car ever.

Don’t be afraid to branch out with groups like Jzilla and JTI.

If you go with Jzilla I could give you a check ride and check you off for solo at road Atlanta and/or AMP.

I guess I’m retarded. You say you’ve never run with Chin, which means you’ve probably run with one of the two groups above if you’ve done road Atlanta that many times. Excuse my retardnedness.
