Yeah saw it after I bought the k10. Might be buying a body.

Saw a pre-order sample at my LHS the other day. The blue one. It looked pretty cool, but I think I'd go for the brown one as it seems more period correct.

Not a fan of the blacked out windows though. May wait for paintable body kits to come out as I have several TRX4s I could pick from to rebody.

I seen them at the hobby shop over the weekend. I love the brown one cause I grew up w a buddy that had one just like it. Had to dig it out of the mud a few times. All it needs is a dog in the back.

I'm probably going to pick up the TRX4 builders kit soon.

Clear TRX 4 Chevy Body

Ive been eying these at a nearby hobby shop (Hobby Express for anyone in the Pittsburgh area, north in the cranberry shopping area)

But which are better  - Traxxas or Axial?  Or is there really no great difference?

I have both Axial and Traxxas.

I prefer, and have more Traxxas trucks over Axial.

Meanwhile, I am just making my own 1978 f100 Supershafty lcg rig using a Losi drag truck body a guy gave me at the Friday night drags.

Traxxas puts out the best looking bodies.  



Depends.  

The TRX4 is built like a tank.  Very durable.  Its been out for several years and aftermarket is great.  Traxxas is also good about putting out their own upgrades that install easily and function well.  The versions with lockers and two speed are a lot of fun, but all that stuff adds weight and complexity, which hurts performance a bit, as do those awesome highly detailed (but heavy) bodies.  If you dont want that stuff, go for the Sport.  I've owned 3 TRX4s.  I overpowered the heck out of one and beat the snot out of it for a long time.  Only thing I broke is a motor pinion.  Cheap easy fix right back on the trail in a few minutes.

The SCX10 III platform is better than the old SCX10 versions, but IMO they are still lower quality than Traxxas.  They're lighter and can be made to be better performers with less $$.

I've mostly migrated to Vanquish trucks now.  Not nearly the aftermarket of the other two and Vanquish's upgrades are quite expensive, but they are very nice.

I would vote for traxxas. Seems like they constantly innovate with the body removal and install process, ease of maintenance, parts etc.
