Damn, it looks good and is very light. Wish I didn't live in a ban state. 19-rd magazine.

I had a BUL M5 .45acp years ago when Rock River Armory sold them. It was a great shooting pistol. Sold it during the Clinton ban for decent money. Got really good money for the mags.

"The TAC line is an unparalleled combat platform. Developed and tested in real world conditions by military and law enforcement personnel"
Which militaries and LE agencies issue these things? |

Last I recall reading, Bul 2011s won’t accept STI or Para magazines.

View Quote BUL is a well established company in Israel. They export all over the globe and their products have been rebranded by quite a few big names. Their products are also used by the folks in the Israeli military and police forces. BUL has been building the 2011 before the 2011 was named a 2011. Kimber BP Ten line and many others in the 90's come to mind as rebranded/licensed production BUL products. Take a look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BUL_Armory |

Quoted: Mag problems are endemic to the 2011. STI, SVI and Atlas seem to have fixed those issues. Untuned MBX magazines can be hit or miss from what I've seen. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Aren't mag problems one of the big complaints with STI anyway? STI, SVI and Atlas seem to have fixed those issues. Untuned MBX magazines can be hit or miss from what I've seen. It’s a little unsettling the first time tuning one of those expensive mag tubes on the Dawson mandrel. Carefully measure the feedlip gap with a caliper, the gently bash it into spec with a brass hammer. |

Looks like they are coming for that staccato.
I really love my staccatos, and have ordered a fowler as well as an atlas. Once that bug bites you, its hard to stop. |

I like it. 2011s are better than polymer double stacks. that's science. But not $2k better. I don't shoot staccatos 4x better than M&Ps, even with the better triggers.
I want them and anything that bridges the price gap makes me happy. |

Who is the biggest BUL dealer in the USA? As long as they've been around I never see them in person or even for sale.

I keep seeing mags as a reason why the 2011 can kinda suck. Question I have is why hasn’t a 2011 manufacturer just used a proven magazine like a Beretta 92 , CZ75 Hi-power etc… instead of trying to reinvent the wheel? |

$1350 ?
That's almost affordable. ETA: .38 Super or .45 for me. |

Question I have is why hasn’t a 2011 manufacturer just used a proven magazine like a Beretta 92 , CZ75 Hi-power etc… instead of trying to reinvent the wheel? View Quote That's a hard question to answer and I'm sure it's got a lot of small parts. Dan Wesson is trying to do exactly that with their DWX but have yet to actually release it and it's been a long time. My guess is that the size of the market is the main driver but we are seeing it grow so I hope we get a bunch more cool options. The first double stacks that were popular were the Para and STI/SV. If I remember correctly Para actually sold just the frames as a conversion for your existing gun just like STI sold frames for custom builds. Another issue with the STI/SV is they were all built around 45acp/38 super so 9mm and 40 were shorter. STI used to have spacers in the back of the mag for 9mm and most of the 40 shooters loaded long for that extra reliability. It's easy to criticize them now but they were the ones that got us all here. Designing a new gun from the ground up is probably a lot easier now with technology and modern manufacturing specs. |

Quoted: I don't shoot staccatos 4x better than M&Ps, even with the better triggers. View Quote Funny that you mention this. I've shot groups with my CORE PC that are pretty impressive. Not sure I could actually shoot much smaller groups offhand with a 2011 than nickel sized groups at 7 yards anyway? Could most people? It seems to me that the striker fired vs 2011 accuracy isn't quite what it used to be 10 years ago. That said I still want one. But probably a Bul Amory one. |
