[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need a dishwasher recommendation

Time to replace a 20 year old GE.

Don’t need anything with a tv in it or WiFi capable to start it when I am out.

Just a run of the mill turn the dial and shit gets cleaned one.

Only real preferences are 2 racks and heated drying.

Got a kitchen aid this past spring..had similar requirements as you.. unfortunately they don't manufacture appliances with dials anymore...it was no frills , stainless tub for right at $500.

GE makes a dial one still. Its the biggest piece of shit there is. It is designed to splurt water out the side when it is filling.

Get a whirlpool/maytag for a no frills dishwasher. Kitchenaids are a little nicer.

Stay away from Samsung and Midea

Excellent experience with a Bosch. Very quiet, never required maintenance, water saver, cleaned quite well.

Don’t get an Asko. Thought the Swedes models were hotter the the Germans. Swedish expensive dishwasher breaks alot. They electronic boards have had issues. I am on good terms with repair guy, I see him a lot. He is ugly. If they sent Swedish models to fix dishwasher it might be ok.

Should have stayed with everyone favorite the Germans.

So quiet, they have to have a laser shine on the floor so you know its working.

About $900.

+1 to the KitchenAid suggestions. Amazing clean and so quiet I don't notice it's on when I'm standing in the kitchen.
