My old neighbor (Marine Vet) scored an NCIS job a few years back... When he got out of the Marines he became a local LEO (Deputy), and busted his butt. He took as much training as he could, went back to school (night classes), and just after being named Chief Deputy he was offered an NCIS job that he had applied for nearly a year before... That is all the info I really have though. I didn't know him when he was in the Marines, nor did I follow his career with a fine-tooth comb. We were neighbors and we played golf together a time or two...
