Thanks guys, she seemed to really enjoy it. I've been so fortunate with this kid. Most importantly she wanted to do this and is sticking with it.

That's good that she's enjoying it. That'll make a huge difference.
I played a coronet in grade school. I just muddled through it though. For whatever reason, I never could get sight reading down. I mainly did it simply because I wanted to play an instrument, but hadn't yet figured out that guitar was my thing. |

Congrats OP.
Band is the only thing my 14yo son seems to like more than Xbox. He is not that interested in shooting, dirt bikes, etc. so I am glad he found something and is sticking with it. I was surprised how much work goes into marching band. We got him his 2nd Saxophone for Christmas. |
