Looking for comparable models that are upright and fully faired. Considering honda cbr650, and looking for suggestions.

Must have full fairings and look like a street bike. No Yamaha MT series for example.

Must be a four cylinder, no Yamaha R7

Ideal bike would be a 2024 FZ6R, if they still made them…

I want a ninja 650 but with 4 cylinders

Willing to consider BMW, Ducati, Aprilla, Triumph

Definitely check out the Aprilia RS 660 and RS 457.

The Tuono is more upright, check those out too.

Kawasaki ZX4R. Faster than you think it is.

Versys 1000
Concours 1400
GSX S-1000 GT
Z900RS Cafe?

you can always buy a sport bike and put a handle bar, lower pegs, higher bubble windshield, etc. Theres options. You may be looking for an adv bike with an inline 4 and more sport oriented to get the full upright and faired experience. Versys 1000 is the best at that niche.

Ninja 650 is a L twin.

Why does it have to be an I4? You are more likely to find a more upright riding with a twin in that size class.

Yamaha MT-07 and MT-09 (they took over from the FZ models).
Suzuki SV650 (tons of upgrades available for these since they are very popular for club races).

Choices are going to be limited with only four cylinders.  Most of the new fared bikes from Yamaha, Suzuki, and aprilia are parallel twins. The triumph Daytona 660 is a triple.

Petty, but I4 simply for sound. This is for fun and the twins sound like liquid turds

If you want sexy sound, Aprilia RSV4 or Tuono V4 with SC Project can't be beat.

Your criteria are mutually exclusive for anything made now, apart from what AGR556 and Knightzone listed, or full on sports bikes, and even those are drying up.

Maybe check out the Daytona 660 then.  The street triple 765’s sound is amazing, even with stock exhaust. If the 660 is 75% of that it’ll check that box.

But it’s not petty. It’s the main thing I missed when I sold my triple for an 890 Duke.

Legit personal reason. My SV sound like a freaking Duc when at 10K (it a full blown racebike so it usually lives at high rpms). Its a v-twin (90 deg) so it doesnt have that non-inspiring parallel twin turd sound. My YZF750 goes from a low growl from idle to 4K, mildly louder growl from 4-8K and full blown Sasquatch at 13K. Gotta love Leo Vinci SBK exhaust (and are ultra rare to even find for this bike).

Havent been in the market for a bike in a long time. Actually getting out of it altogether.

I had a 2008 fz6.  I wish they still made them.  I think the 2 generations after them are ugly.

Yes but your laying on the tank like superman.

What's wrong with the Ninja 650? Twin cylinder might not sound as nice but they are bombproof and quick.

I loved my Ninja 1000. Rode it all over east of the Miss in all weather. Never got bored.
