Bought a SPX 930 A year or so after they came out. Sure as shit it came with the dreaded canted sight. How the hell even a single one of those got shipped blows my mind. Story only gets worse from there. Took a full year to get it resolved and returned. I'll never buy another Mossberg product again after that bullshit.

Whatched this thread progress threw the day... you guys are f....in' funny!
Own, umm.. 10-12 500's or 590's 12, 20 and .410, not including the 930's or 835's , or the 9200's( 1 jungle ) Hands down, for a pump gun they beat everything( incuding a shitty Nova). |

I never had a chance to own an 870 that wasn't an absolute piece of shit, and the two I owned were before Freedom Group took over and really fucked things up.
I hate shotguns, but 590 or Nova Tactical all day. |

I like the safety location on Mossbergs. Both the ones I have are pretty old (a Western Field branded 500 12 ga from the '70s, a 20 ga 500 from the '90s) and they're nice and smooth and solid, I don't know if quality dropped/maintained/improved later on. I'd like to get a 930 at some point, if the market ever settles down.
I don't own any Remington shotguns but I'm sure they're fine, too (as long as you don't get a shitty one )

I'm glad I have more than enough Winchester model 12's and Benellis. I have an older Remington slug gun. It's been 100% reliable. Sounds like they're not made to the same standard now.

Super easy. I love my 930 so far. Runs great, good gun. But it is cheap so dont expect 2000 dollar gun fit and finish on a 500 dollar gun, but it works. |
