Anyone get/send a monthly subscription box and feel like they got some value out of it? Look for a replacement for a few family members that I don't get to see much. They are teenagers and are mature enough for knives and lighters etc.

I had a subscription for STEM projects/kits through Amazon and canceled that for obvious reasons.

I canceled the Man Can subscription through IV8888 because I thought the value was poor. (made me sad too)

Currently looking at the below links but not seeing anything of value. The ideal price point is $35 shipped a month. I would go up to $50 if the items are not just junk.

If you want to stick to STEM, our kids did kiwico and always enjoyed them.

Thank you for the recommendation. I have a subscription for a younger family member there. No complaints. I will see if they have anything that will keep a teenager happy.

It's just companies sending a bunch of their overstocked junk they can't sell in a box.  Then charging you monthy for it.

We get the snack boxes from around the world.

My kids (10 & 14) think they are cool and await the next one. Except Thailand, they eat some weird shit.

No doubt, most of the companies are doing this.

This.  Mostly the same shit that's been on clearance for the past three years.

These companies probably get all of their inventory from sootch00 after he is done shilling.

That's what I always pictured it being. This thread has made me think about setting one up for my 14yo though. It's easy to forget the excitement of getting a mysterious package once you're grown and jaded, lol.

That's the point

Kiwico seems to have a good value but the older boys may have outgrown their interest in that type of kit.

My MIL paid for a couple of months for Going Gear EDC for my son. He got some cool things, but would have been better off with a budget, research and making the purchase hiself.

The fishing boxes are a little outside their interest but appear to be a good value. Might have to sign up for myself.
