The National Rifle Association announced that it intends to restructure as a nonprofit based in Texas and has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protections. "The move will enable long-term, sustainable growth and ensure the NRA's continued success as the nation's leading advocate for constitutional freedom -- free from the toxic political environment of New York," the gun advocacy group said in a statement Friday. The NRA added that it has been incorporated in New York for approximately 150 years. "This strategic plan represents a pathway to opportunity, growth and progress," NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre said in a statement. "Obviously, an important part of this plan is 'dumping New York.' The NRA is pursuing reincorporating in a state that values the contributions of the NRA, celebrates our law-abiding members, and will join us as a partner in upholding constitutional freedom." LaPierre dubbed the decision Friday a "transformational moment in the history of the NRA." |

Meh! They became a self-important Gun Lobby organization that stopped looking out for Gun Owners.

Is it breaking if there are 8 of them on the main active topics page with half of them in bold?

They called me yesterday and gave a 3 minute speech before letting me get 2 words in. At the end, the lady took a deep breath then said "can we count on you for a $400 donation?"
She let out the most defeated sigh when I said "Wayne can buy his own suits." |

I was in line to get in a gun show and there was a lady hawking NRA memberships. I yelled across the room “Not until Wayne is gone!” I got some applause from the crowd in line. She tried defending him. Just told her don’t even try. He can buy his own damned suits out of his paycheck.

If only they would completely dissolve. Fuck the NRA until Wayne is gone!
Not a dime until Wayne resigns
Not a dime until Wayne resigns. Not a dime until Wayne resigns. |

What happens to all of the ranges operating on NRA insurance if the NRA goes away?
If the NRA emerges from bankruptcy, how many suits does WLP get for his reward?
Well, it's a good move to reduce valuation for an evac of FNY since the commies have an exit fine.
Well FJB said he was gonna take them on. Hell he ain't even president yet. Must have scared them.
Fuck Wayne.
He's gonna take them down in flames before doing the right thing. All he has to do is step down and get someone in there that's gonna fight and nra would explode with cash. This should be a watershed moment for them but fucking Wayne will kill them. Even my hard core boomer fudd dad hates him and has stopped donating. Nra was IN HIS WILL, that's how much he was with them. If they've lost him, they're FUCKED |

Good.
Once it goes under maybe people will start giving all that money to other organizations that actually do what the NRA claims to do. |
That is not good considering the shit storm that starts in a few days.

Lifetime Benefactor Member here. There'll never get another dime from me until Wayne LaPierre is gone.
Tom Gresham tweeted that it violates the NRA's bylaws. He suggests the entire Board of Directors must vote on it, not the Executive Committee. |

Wayne has got to go.
They need to correct all the bullshit. They need to step up their game. Only then will I send more money. |
