Would it bother anybody else for a company to offer you a military discount even though you are not in the military?

I got offered this discount and frankly I was offended by it and told them so. I love to save money but to use a military discount even when I'm not military just screams dishonesty to me. I left and was told I was the problem for getting a little confrontational about it.

My father served but never did any of that come up in the conversation. They were simply trying to make a sale.

When i was 19 i asked for a student discount at the movies. The girl said they don't give student discounts. With out missing a beat i asked for a senior citizen discount. The girl laughed and gave me a mil discount.

Also, i got a mil. Discount at oriellys once. I didn't ask for it or deserve one. Only noticed after i paid.
