And check your sent mail copies. It counts all the folders I believe.

All boxes empty accept 1 sent message. Ended up being chrome needed update. Logged out, updated, logged in, all good.

Deleted messages go to the deleted messages folder. While they are in their they count against your quota, but that folder is automatically emptied overnight freeing up the space for your allowed quota
