Saw this on /k. A guy got this AR57 to function using a trigger jig instead of a lower. Any legal issues with this? |

That belongs to an arfcommer here. Why not ask him?

I'm thinking the $30 NcStar stock is going to be an improvement on the Hera for this application.
It's an ARish rifle even an Aggie can build - one ugly hacksaw cut is all it takes. |

Quoted: 50 round centerfire semiautomatic. I've run 200 rounds through it so far, no jams. Eats the cheap American Eagle just fine. Just make sure you don't order the 3rd hole of happiness jig. Backbencher, you have the wildest gun collection I've ever seen, tons of oddball and unique stuff.

Look at the title and thread preview and think "hmmm going to be a backbencher thread?"

Quoted:. Say I wanted built one and was intending to SBR. Engrave a serial on the upper? The Jig?
I was going to buy a 380 skorpion for my first SBR but you're having me think otherwise at the moment View Quote Pretty cool if you engraved the upper, just move it from lower to lower. Given the AR57 upper isn't in production at the moment, you might enjoy the Scorpion more. This isn't a cost effective way of building a rifle, given the cost of the AR57 upper. I did it to prove a point, and it's a fun gun to shoot. |

Sure it is. We judge guilty or not-guilty almost daily. And that's as good as any law, in my book. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

For those wondering what the hell this thing is, I call it a Lyndon, b/c President Lyndon Baines Johnson was fond of serial numbers, and I am not.

I would say that is legal like any home made firearm. I am not a lawyer.
