I have a larger carry case, but a lot of times I just wanna grab the bear essentials........ the D780 with 70-200 on it.

Anybody have suggestions?

Appropriate sized padded pelican case. Provides safe and lockable option.

I like my peak design everyday zip backpack.   Just enough room for camera -w- 70-200, a smaller lens and some extra batteries.

I use a Tenba sling bag... it's like half a backpack.
