This year is looking not so good for LEO's around the nation.    

"Just stay low and watch your back" doesn't seem to cover it anymore.  

Just be careful.  Drive carfeully too.

It is a crazy year so far.  Economy ?  Probably hasn't helped.  

Prospects don't look much better for the summer.

Sad News on the Blackberry this morning before I go on shift;

Louisiana Dept. Wildlife and Fisheries Sgt. Paul Stuckey, age 47, of Zachary.
End of watch Sept 30, 2011. Tour 18 years.


Sgt. Stuckey was last reported responding to night hunting at 2:15am.

Deputies stated his body was found by local fishermen next to his patrol vehicle with a shotgun wound to the chest at the old ferry landing on the Mississippi outside of St. Francissville.
Suspect details aren't available at this time.
