This is kind of a humble brag for me. I was digging around in a bunch of crap this weekend and found 127 ounces of silver and 2 ounces of gold I bought about 2 years ago. I thought I had inventoried it and put it in the count boxes, but nope, no record of it, it was still in a plastic shopping bag in the back of a closet. Totally forgot I had it.
I also was cleaning a storage closet Sunday and found a laser bore sighting kit I forgot I bought a few years ago. So that was a win as well. |

Found 2000 SRP and 2000 LRP in an ammo can from about 20 years ago.

900 rds of 7.62 when I was rearranging my ammo closet.
Between that and the 100 rolls of paper towels I have stashed away, “Kids, your college is now fully paid for!” |

I found a Star Firestar .40 and a Ruger P95 9mm in the bottom back corner of one of the safes. The P95 was brought in sometime during the AWB as it only has 10 rd. mags.
I'll play with the Star. The Ruger can stay forgotten for now. |

Found a case of 5,000 small pistol primers I bought at the end of the Sandy Hook panic.

I moved not long ago and found around 3k rounds of 9mm. 1200 of it was from when rural king had it for under $6 a box on black Friday. I thought for sure I had shot it all.

1972 Chevelle Malibu. it's been buried in my garage since 1999. God I miss that car!

|
I found 7 22lr rounds in the glove box of my 1999 Ford Crown Victoria...................

|
I can't think of a thing.
I'm actually the opposite - there are things that I know I have but I just can't find them.... |
|
A Fat Fifty can with three SAW drums and a bag of M855/M856. I'm rich, boys!
|
|
Haven't forgot about it.... But. One of these days I'm gonna find a stripped RRA receiver I bought in the early Obama days.

My wife is always nagging me about cleaning the garage and when I do, I always find forgotten about things. Unfortunately she reminds me of my finds to encourage me to clean up again the next time.
Over the years, I've found a dozen AR mags, a case of 5.56mm and an ammo can with 500 rounds of 7.62x25 that I forgot about. |

Volquartsen 17hmr I forgot I bought. I think I have 3 Volquartsen rifles.

Found $9600.00 in an envelope in a jacket pocket. Decided I should buy a nice safe to keep my money in after that...lol

Several years ago I found a S&W Model 18-3 in the safe that I'd forgotten about.
Last weekend I found a brick of CCI small pistol primers I forgot about. That felt like finding gold. |
|
I found an unfired colt python stainless 4” in the bottom of a big burlap bag of old fired .308 blank brass that I inherited. I was tossing it in the dumpster when I thought it felt too heavy. Dug to the bottom and what do you know. Covered in cosmoline and wrapped in a rag.

look at all us slackers with stashed primers, lol
prices have been low enough the past 4-5 years i just kept stocking factory stuff. |

CZ82. Thought painters stole it. Found it in range bag 2 days ago.
|
|
Two fifty caliber ammo cans full of PMC Bronze .223 and one can full of Wolf Gold. I have no recollection of how it got to where I found it.
|
|
For whatever reason I keep forgetting I have a Beretta M9. It’s always a surprise seeing it in the safe.

About 8 years ago I got a smoking deal on a new Specter DR 1-4 as part of a group buy. I bought 2 and found the second about 10 months ago still wrapped in plastic in the box. Like Christmas in July or like finding a stray $10 bill in a coat only 4000X better.

|
In a spot of luck, found some 6.8spc 9mm and 556 ammo I forgot that I had. Not enough to rebuild my ammo fort, but it's a start.

|
Fat 50 caliber ammo can full of .38 special brass. It was hidden away and led to me running out of brass unexpectedly a couple of weeks back.

A loaded 10rd M1a mag I thought TSA stole from me. I even made angry phone calls to them about it. I found it years later tucked in a hiking boot I had taken on that trip. Right where I left it.

No real - where did the heck that thing come from.
Most of the time I know I have it put up; I just don't remember where it is safely put up. However, like socks, some of my computer cables like to vanish. When I need a good USB 1 cable for an old printer, none are to be found. As soon as I buy a new one + spare; I find 2 more usb 1 printer cables. (usb 1 style cables are used for old laser printers and new 3d printers...) The real magic act is when I am looking for Phillips screw driver I find nothing but standards style. So I know I have a bunch of standard style screw drivers so when I look for those I find they transformed into the missing Phillips. I am still trying to figure out how all of my 10mm sockets ended up in my sock drawer. |

found my second can of Kroil. Bought it maybe 8 years ago after learning of the deal here on ARFCOM. Thought I gave it away to a buddy.

Gave a safe to my son. I KNEW it was empty, had been for years. Opened it up and found a pristine German SP89 copy in .22. That was last summer. A couple weeks ago, I was getting some boxes out of my enclosed car trailer and found four NIB CMMG Betamags. I was under the impression they'd flown the coop at least ten years ago.

I found a Tokarev pistol in the bottom of the safe last year. Totally forgot about it. I bought it off a board member long time ago when all the hubbub about 5.7 ammo was going on. There was talk about them going after 7.62x 25 at the time. There is about 700 rounds for it in an ammo can somewhere.
