Mayor Garcetti bars most of city's 4million citizens going outside, bans travel, closes non-essential businesses and says it's 'time to cancel everything' as cases surge.
Los Angeles residents are ordered to stay in their homes effective immediately as Mayor Eric Garcetti banned all travel including walking, closed non-essential businesses and threatened to arrest anyone breaking the new lockdown rules as coronavirus cases and hospitalizations surge. The city, where 4 million residents live, was told the new move was 'necessary for the protection of life and property in the City of Los Angeles'. Garcetti urged residents to 'cancel everything'. He said no one should be hosting gatherings or going to gatherings. According to the order, 'all travel, including, without limitation, travel on foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, automobile, or public transit is prohibited'. However, essential needs such as food, healthcare services, social services and others, are outlined as exceptions in the order. I live south of LA and our "response" seems to be a week or two behind them in terms of stupid regulations. People are pretty much over it and back to their pre-pandemic levels of doing shit, I do not see them going into an even more strict lockdown then they did earlier this year. |

They are essentially testing everything but furniture for COVID right now..... symptoms , sickness, or not.... no wonder the numbers appear to be rising. As an aside, one of the largest firms providing quick-result COVID test kits is currently in trouble with the SEC......seems many of their senior employees decided to cash out all their stock.....didn't want to wait till the music stops to find a chair I'm sick to death of all this bullshit.... and am trying to figure out what the media is going to squawk about with Trump gone, no Bat Flu, and racial inequality magically a thing of the past..... My neighbor just got back from LA for Air Force reserve training and he said the place was a hell hole. He is from the real LA (Louisiana) and he met his wife there while stationed and she is glad to be here in Louisiana
I wonder how the refineries are staying running, I am sure these are not "critical services" with the left wing assholes running that city I have been to Los Angeles a number of times when we owned the Torrence refinery and I really enjoyed it out there, stayed at the Portofino in Redondo Beach everytime and the weather was great, but it has been at least 10 years since I was there.... |
