Don't repeat my mistake, check the lights on your car too. Holy fuck I'm so fucking pissed off right now, the last thing I need is a goddamn ticket jesus fuck.

They would just give a fix it ticket here, if anything at all. Probably hoping you were a drunk.

I got pulled over once because one of the two plate bulbs was burned out.
He was hoping to get a DUI arrest because it was 3am. I had just left work and wouldn’t let him search my truck. What a waste of his time. He even had the K9 come out to sniff around and even his handler decided that I wasn’t worth the effort too. LED bulbs are where it’s at. |

Lemme guess, white man finds out what minorities deal with every day?

Protected and served the shit out of you.
Man, getting paid by the government with stolen money to go harass people for dumb shit, and extorting them if they violated a law most people don't even know about sure sounds like a sweet gig. |

Assuming you have a smartphone, maybe add a quarterly recurring notification for a night time warkaround safety check of your vehicle/s?

Sounds like a little late night fishing to me... View Quote I suspect it started as a fishing trip, but changed when he reviewed my incredibly boring criminal history on his computer. |

I don't ticket for that since they can't make them work on my POS CVPI.

Classic fishing trip stop hoping to find something else, they do it around here all of the time.. The one they get me on all the time is "Can't Read Your License plate" which it normally has mud on it, because I live several miles back in the woods and travel at a minimum of 20 miles a day on gravel muddy roads.
Getting pissed won't get you anywhere, but it can end up costing you a night in jail for contempt if you are a big enough asshole. After about the 4th or 5th time of spending the night in jail, figured it was easier just to make sure it is clean and if I have to go to court answer questions with yes Sir, yes Mame or no Sir no Mame Haven't had to spend the night in the clink for a few years now. |

In my state it's a fixit ticket that's dismissed when you fix the deficiency
|
|
At least your was burnt out... I was pulled over for the same thing and I said show me. We went back to look and both of them were working.
Thought it was my BiL fucking with me but it wasnt. Called him and told him whoever the chick on his beat is needs a better story to start fishing from. |

I only got a warning, no ticket for that.
I replaced my old bulb with an LED version. I hope this one lasts longer. |

Middle of the night, pulled over for a minor infraction. They were disappointed they couldn't find drugs, so they gave you a ticket. That's bullshit if you ask me.

A small town near me write those to make revenue and makes almost $220 a ticket for a tag light ticket Hello Senoia Georgia , home of a speed trap where the speed drops and keeps dropping as you enter town and stop at the 2 traffic lights ,

Did you inform the officer that he has a bright future as a GD mod?

It could have been worse, you could have had a wetsuit in the vehicle.

I got pulled over for the same a few years ago. I was told a bulb was out, no ticket. Get home and check it both bulbs were working.

Quoted: I'd write you a ticket. View Quote I have written it a very small handful of times back in the day. It was always an add on, for someone knowingly driving without a license, no insurance, warrants, etc. By add on, I mean it was the reason for the stop, not add on like I pulled s stetson out of my trunk and walked around the car looking for bs to write. View Quote Yep, i encourage everyone i know to have operational lights, valid plates and inspections, minimum mufflers for noise, etc. Don't give them an easy reason for a stop, especially if your carrying or racing in Mexico. |

The crown must see your license plate. A burned out light does not please the crown.

Never understood why those lights are even needed
Stupid ticket, guy sounds like an asshole |
