Jonny Depp's greatest role

Quirky, but decided to visit children’s hospitals when in costume for Pirates of the Caribbean.  He can’t be all bad.

Benny and Joon
The Ninth Gate
Sleepy Hollow

Honorable mentions:

I'm sure he very well could be, but still a talented actor. I buy into whatever character he plays, and they're not easy ones.

Some actors I'll always only see as the only role they ever really pulled off- Walter White, Jim Halpert, etc.

Definitely not the one where he channels his inner John Wilkes Booth.

Because we're not a bunch of miserable assholes who filter everything in our lives through our ideological/political purity test first?

And who’s this ‘we’?

Actually, yes. because we fund the very people who will happily destroy us based on the ideology that 'they're really good at __________!"
And while you're trying to be snarky, remember that we- as a country -tried to apply this exact philosophy to China for the last four years.

China's really great at manufacturing cheap consumer shit but will af us in the end when given the chance.
So yes, why are we funding people in the media that will happily destroy us? But they're great actor(esses)!
Here's more money and a bigger platform to spew your liberal ideology!

Pfftt...

Enjoy your film library of nothing but Kevin Sorbo, Chuck Norris, and the other Baldwin brother movies, then.

Seeing the entire world through a political lens much be exhausting, because I’m sure it is to those close to you.

Jack Sparrow in the first two Pirates movies.

However, his role as Whitey Bulger in Black Mass deserves mention.

(Especially the family secret dinner scene)

I loved it as an adult!

Why is he an asshole and why is he weird?  I don't know much about him other than he is not a totally flaming libtard.  He's somewhat pro-2A, isn't he?  Did he also have a contentious divorce?

Sleepy Hollow was very good! He played the cowardly Ichabod Crane to perfection and Christina Ricci was ethereal.  And of course Christopher Walken was Christopher Walken.

IMO, his work in that was far better than in the PotC movies. Menacing... in every scene. It surrounded him like a cloud.

Personal issues aside, he’s probably the best actor of his generation.
