Jeep Trackhawk vs Hayabusa - drag race |
|
[#1]
The guy on the bike was sitting like he was scared to drive it....
|
|
[#2]
lol. if you put someone who knew how to ride without training wheels on the bike the outcome would have been different. he started 30 minutes late and was seated the whole time.

[#4]
That was a shitacular launch and a whole lotta short shifts for such a stickered up bike. He somehow managed to turn a low 10 second bike into a 13 second bike

It’s good to see the handicapped enjoying the motorcycle hobby.

Probably the weight and drag of all those stickers slowed him down.

I read an article that suggests that he/she may have started in 3rd gear.

Stock Trackhawks are just awesome sauce.
Stock Jeep TrackHawk vs 450-800hp cars (8 min of just racing) |

The Jeep Trackhawk Is Actually A BARGAIN For $100,000 |

I always thought a motorcycle could out run and 4 wheeled vehicle just based on power to weight ratio, say on a road race track.
I found out if you put a cutting edge motorcycle like a MotoGP bike and an F1 car on the same road course/track. The F1 car will leave it in the dust. Four wheels can take corners much faster than two wheels and the F1 puts its power to the ground much more efficiently. |

[#14]
13.10 in the quarter is lame for a busa. Rider sucks donkey dick
|
|
[#15]
A 300 pound woman who doesn't know how to ride isn't exactly presenting the best example of how quick a Hayabusa can be.

And the Jeep driver is just a guy too, not a 'experienced drag racer'.

I would LOVE to see the mental gymnastics he must go through in the video to explain how a $40,000 jeep with a $5k motor is worth over 100K. View Quote |

TO THOSE OF YOU WHO DONT KNOW ANYONE WILLING TO TWIST THE THROTTLE ON THE BUSA WOULD COME IN A FULL SECOND FASTER THANT THAT JEEP.
My ninja 650 with 70hp will do 12 seconds flat stock. |

Do these have the same engine as the SRT Durangos, a 6.2L V8 HEMI? Just supercharged?
Durangos have 475HP these have 707hp? |

I’m reading that well-riden stock gen2 Hyabusas run mid to low 10s.

And the Jeep driver is just a guy too, not a 'experienced drag racer'. View Quote The Jeep is effectively point and shoot. It has an automatic transmission, and AWD pretty much ensures an easy launch. Most of the people in this thread could probably get close to that vehicle's straight line potential. The driver is also surrounded by steel structure and airbags. The motorcycle is 100% opposite of that. The transmission is manual, and all the power is going to one wheel. Give it too much throttle too quickly or do something goofy shifting gears, and it's your ass. Self preservation is very much a variable. |

"Person who can drive automatic automobile beats person who barely knows how to ride a motorcycle in boring race" doesn't really have that click-bait panache.

The Track hawks are "de-tuned" to 650 HP, because of the AWD system. They couldn't pass durability testing with 707 HP.

Did they swap rides first?
Somehow I don't think 13s @ 120 quite shows the full potential of a busa. |
|
[#44]
As others have said, the motorcycle rider failed.
That's a low 10 second bike all day, everyday - stock with a decent rider. Any meaningful mods (stickers?) and a good rider gets it down into low nines and possibly high eights. Hell, my lame ass managed a 10.26 @ 136 on a bone stock CBRXX 20 years ago. |

Right my 2c
1) I hate being poor ( relatively) 2) fat old woman was scared of that bike and not able to use it as intended 3) as a performance bike rider who was ok on the track ish relatively but really good at fast starts I can tell you that bike would smoke that easily. But a fast start on a bike is a skill not many master. |
