We haven't don't this in some time and with the pouring rain I don't expect this to be a very busy night with the exception of trees and power lines coming down.

I only speak for myself and will not say who or where I work but ask away.

Yes, in before Ryan or whoever so we can skip that one. These have been pretty productive and dare I say informational in the past, lets try and keep the streak alive.

Dark and wet at the moment. If I wasn't so afraid of the cop haters here arocking me I could actually use my real location.

The ZWD/US conversion right now is only 362/1 so Im not living as large as I used to be!

Starlet is a pretty subjective term. With very little effort I can go an entire shift without seeing another human being. I was once propositioned on a dui stop but my career and integrity is worth much more than that experience would provide.

our local LEO's all make over $100K base as a patrol officers, work for 25 years, most become chief for a year or two unless they run over their captain's foot along the way, and retire on about 80% pension + medical -- and then move to a "low income/low cost of living state" where starting at age 46 they can live in luxury on beachfront property with their pension income.

why don't all cops do this?

-I carry a personal owned Glock 34/TLR1HL with 4 magazines with Zev extensions and a Glock 43 with TLR6 for a backup. Benchmade and douk douk pocket knife and a PR24. Bushmaster AR15 with a streamlight gamespotter and a less lethal shotgun in the car.

As far as yearly training we are required to have 24 hours in any subject and two firearms quals a year. In the past I was a DT instructor and a firearms instructor. I am a FTO/PTO and a patrol CPL.

Top 3 would probably be DUI, DV assault, and theft not necessarily in that order.

Last time I tried to figure it out my district is between 450-500 square miles with two of us covering it. Lots of it are National and State forests. Hundreds of miles of forest and DNR roads and only about 4 neighborhoods and one business that is open at night.
