I remember watching 2016 and not even Fox News would call the election. The media have and will try to influence the result down to the last electoral vote. I knew trump won when Florida voted Scott as Senator defeating commie Nelson and the Fox fucks still wouldn’t call Florida until almost midnight.

Pollster Who Shows Trump Ahead Nationally Says Florida Is Almost Out of Reach for Biden – Trump is Doing Great Most of the polls are "wish fulfillment" by progressives. They so desperately want to win that they tweak the numbers in unrealistic manners and believe their own BS. |

The defeatist attitude is exactly what those “Biden leads by 69 points!!!” stories are meant to create
I appreciated all the replies in that thread telling people to get active bringing others to the polls, working as a poll worker, etc - because that’s exactly the correct response to the chicken little news stories and threads. |

After the 2016 epic failure of damned near every poll taking method in the country, I lost all respect for, and faith in poll taking. Simply put, it is all too easy to select an audience that will tell the poll taker what they want to hear. For example, if I go to my gun club and ask about gun control issues, I will get a vastly different response than if I go to a meeting of mothers against gun violence. In both cases, the polls do not represent a valid sample.
It is just too easy to manipulate numbers, play with statistics and play with the way polls are interpreted. An example of playing with how polls are interpreted, would be the statement that "24% of states reported an increase in new cases of Covid-19". Many people thing that is horrible, but they fail to look at the other side which is that the statement doesn't mention that 76% of states did NOT report an increase in new cases of Covid-19. Polls are pretty worthless unless someone gets their paycheck from the poll taking company. |
