Sorry bro. Went through it last year. Only thing that helped was a new puppy to keep us busy.

You gave her a good home at lots of love we should all be so blessed
So sorry, OP. I'm feeling your pain with my fur buddy, who will be dead from cancer very shortly (when I decide to put her to sleep.)
Terrible to hear this. I know you've spent a lot of time on the trail with your dogs.
Ah, sorry about that.
Wish dogs lasted a lot longer than they do. They are a companion for life, and it is sure hard to lose one. After my last passed away, I was seeing her/expecting her everywhere. I still see her out of the corner of my eye some times, and it has been over a year since she passed. I finally picked up another pup after around a year and a half, and she definitely is filling that hole in my life. |

Sorry for the loss of Midnight, protus. I understand the pain.
<———— these are all gone now. All we can do is give them the best we can over a too-short life. It’s sounds like you did. |
I'm sorry to hear about your loss. All wounds heal with time.

I'm really sorry for your loss. My most sincere condolences to you and your family.

RIP to your pup.
Sounds like she found a good family, and vice versa. |
Sorry for your loss. It seems so unfair that their lives are so short.
I am very sorry for your loss, always very hard losing a pup.
Sorry for your loss.
Beautiful pup. Very similar all around to my Dad and step mom’s last dog, Sam. Poor girl was dumped in a warehouse district on a brutally cold sub zero night, my dad went to pick up my step mom at work because it was snowing so bad. They weren't looking for a dog but they wouldn’t leave the dog to the cruel death. Best smartest, gentle loving dog ever. |
I know what you're going through.
When my boy goes, which is hopefully a very long time from now, I will not deal with it well. He and I are truly bonded. |
man I'm really sorry for your loss.
those things are every bit as much family to us as anyone. She'll be there waiting when you cross. |
Sorry for your loss. We lost our Goldendoodle about a month ago unexpectedly, it's been very rough. Brought home a new puppy this week. Next chapter begins.

"One last word of farewell, Dear Master and Mistress. Whenever you visit my grave, say to yourselves with regret but also with happiness in your hearts at the remembrance of my long happy life with you: 'Here lies one who loved us and whom we loved.' No matter how deep my sleep I shall hear you, and not all the power of death can keep my spirit from wagging a grateful tail."
RIP Midnight and all the other dogs we've lost this year. Thank you for getting a shelter dog. |

Quoted: Lost my pup. Her name was midnight. We rescued her from a shelter( arnie) She was skin and bones and had no hair on her hinds. She had papers and was already 5..this was in 12'. She was an Australian shep. At the time I was going through a bunch of shit.she was afraid of me when my wife brought her home. My 1st day off from work...I loaded her into my truck and we went for a day hike. The 1st I had did alone in a looooong time. After that her, me the harness and truck made us both happy. Smartest dog I've seen and a complete lover to my daughter and wife. She had been going down hill the last year...but was steady.. Yesterday though I got her outside, in her dog bed on our porch...hour later I heard 3 to 4 half ass barks, our other pup jumped up and ran to our front door( open to a storm door). I got up and found her on the outdoor cushions... With out going I to what I dealt with over the next hour, I got her cleaned up and loaded into my truck as the wife made several phone calls to 911 vets..this calmed her down, but I knew it wouldn't be long . I started the 35 mile trip into town to a 911 vet..to get diverted to another on the coast. I kept her calm and kept my hand on her 90% of our ride. She passed on me ironically at the entrance of a state forest we would normally visit. My wife and kid who were in bound to the second vet met me there....in the woods. My daughter who took it bad while hugging me said " she was with you. Doing what she loved to do dad..." So.... Rip midnight my shtf Aussie...my buddy. Hiking partner and best pup I've had. Now it's dusty in here...fuvk .me. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/49816/20170128_105437_jpg-1829040.JPG View Quote |

Sorry for the loss of your bud, she was lucky to have you and your family for the time she was here .
So sorry, it is never easy.
She's at Rainbow Bridge waiting for you. |
Sorry for your loss. I've always said, "its a friend ship for a lifetime". I just wish they had more time. You gave her a good life. I'm certain she loved every minute of it.
Feel sad, but be proud...heal as best you can. |

Sorry for your loss OP.
Such a good thing you were there for her in her final moments. |
You gave her a good life, and she knew that, you were there trying to help when it was her time to go

Quoted: You gave her a good life, and she knew that, you were there trying to help when it was her time to go View Quote I talked to her in. Those moments before loading her up...like I've never done to anything. I couldn't sleep last night... Couldn't even drink myself happy.... No go today either. But...I'll push on...like her when we hiked..tight leash..on point...and no matter what finding the way...( thanks fla trails lol) Thanks everyone |
