Wasn't The Matrix a comic book first ? Edit: Nope, thought wrong. It's based heavily on Neuromancer by William Gibson. Not necessarily the specific plot, but the imagry and characters are too similar to be coincidence. Not really… None of the characters are the same at all. The imagery is more out of Japanese comics. |

I'll see it, I actually liked all 3 movies, and Keanu is in it.

Morpheus was never put back into the matrix (as it appears Neo and Trinity have). Morpheus was killed in the Matrix online game and the game timeline was supposed to be canon. It still doesn't make sense, but that appears to be the "official answer". Something tells me there is more to it.

I'd rather they remake Johnny Mnemonic with the same cast.
Matrix 4 looks to be a great movie if we didn't know about the first trilogy. Since we do, it will suck. |

The machine snakes, for lack of a better word, carry neo in and take him into the city (the one returning to the source). I guess they picked up Trinity as well. |

It's out on HBO Max Christmas Day. So I'll find out without paying money. |

The trouble with sequels is they try to follow the formula that made the first movie success. The dopamine rush isn't as good though because the writer/director failed to provide the "novelty" that awed the audience with the first flick. They need to start with a blank sheet of paper.

HBOMAX....
'nuff said for me to know it will stink. Probably why Villeneuve didn't want Dune hanging around there for a minute. https://screenrant.com/dune-movie-leaving-hbo-max-streaming-fan-response/ Around this time last year, I got the free 30 day thing so I could see Wonder Woman 2; then signed up for the rebate for 6 months....and of the movies that premiered, the only one I really liked was the Hunt - which wasn't really a theater/streaming premiere. Kong was so awful, I had to turn it off w/o finishing. The movie with Denzel and Leto was a waste of my time... Again anything premiering on HBO Max is more than likely a steaming pile of poooo |

Quoted: It's going to be absolutely moronic. That's guaranteed. View Quote I usually try to stay positive, but based on what fuckin Keanu said, and the fact HBO's involved, I agree. Remember, Santa Inc is the direction HBO wants to go, that's why didn't pick up Tom Hanks' "Masters of the Air" WW2 program. It is going to be ruined. The way they ruin all old franchises they touch (such as Terminator, for example). |

I really, really, really want it to be good. Amazing even. There's so much nostalgia attached to it for me.
I have to admit to being a little bummed that Fishburne isn't in it. Looks as though Neo and Trinity are the only ones who have returned? This is one of those movies which is going to make me very happy or one that will become part of a long list of disappointments that could have been great. *Fingers-crossed* I will absolutely see it, hopefully in Imax |

Quoted: Well, the first one was good, the second one was terrible, and the third one was worse, so mathematically it doesn't look promising. Odd are that it will be shit. But who knows? One thing I do know is that John Wick 4 will be better than Tom Anderson 4.

Agree, I dont understand how an iconic character could be killed. However, I am not sure how even Morpheus could defy the laws of matrix gravity given his current shape. That could be worse the a younger reboot.

There were some credible leaks that the 4th installment is going heavy on trannies and women saving the world. So the tranny brothers now claiming the story always revolved around trannies is a pretty good tell. And as a side note, I think Switch being a tranny would have been great in the original film. How fitting that they cut that out, and instead shoehorned it everywhere else.

Quoted: Quoted: I'm still confused about why Lawrence Fishburne isn't in it. They seem to have brought back other members of the cast from the trilogy. It's distracting having another actor play Morpheus. He’s about 150lbs heavier now. This will be the real reason. |

Quoted: Whether it’s good or shit (probably going to be shit), it’s the type of movie that you still have to watch. View Quote Fuck that. The first one is one of my favorite movies. This will be shit and I will not watch it. Unless I'm proven wrong by overwhelmingly positive reviews from normal people (not critics). I did not watch the last star wars movie because the last jedi was so incredibly bad. I'm not watching any more of their garbage, ever. If it is a rare fluke that they produce something good I might watch it. |
