My mom had a bad experience with Vanguard and along with some other issues needs an investment advisor she can lean on from time to time to get things done.

She’s mid 80’s and can struggle with the internet.  Not horrible, but now days many companies expect their customers to be 100% web savvy.  

So we need to get her a local person she can call upon and even visit in person.  Any thoughts or recommendations?

I do also and my own advise sucks (contrarian). I lost a lot of money fighting the Fed and the NPC's because I know better than them. I can't imagine an 80 something feeble minded version of myself.

LoL.  Exactly.  I tell my financial advisor that his job is to stop me from doing stupid things.  He is conservative, but he fills the role perfectly.  Portfolio grew slowly, but just not fun.  

One thing I did on my own, however was to buy a bunch of Ruger RGR at 7 when Obama got nominated.  I bailed out at 76.
