We’ll if we’re playing that game. Go into one of the better trades in the area. Bust ass, live cheap to save up and buy a 100acre farmstead with multiple water sources dirt cheap in the 08 crash. For cash.
Then learn how to live primarily off the land and make money doing it. In other words. I’d choose to figure out how to be free. |

Surprisingly enough.. ide have stayed in the army, got my associates and applied for the IPAP. Or stayed the NCO route, and retired in 6 years. ??????? Now I work in healthcare. I wouldn’t have known I loved healthcare though if I didn’t ETS. Idk.. if I knew what I knew now… ide have made better grades in high school and went to med school and been an ortho surgeon. $$$$$$

I'd probably still go into the Information Technology field, however I would lean towards the data / business intelligence side rather than the operations and IT service management side where I ended up. Data-driven decisions are a huge benefit to any business and a well-connected IT department can deliver that in spades.
IT is still where its at, is still growing exponentially and you can still 'work from anywhere' that has WiFi. It was the original 'work from home' gig. And tell Picard to 'suck it'. |
