I've been hearing chatter about the new bill also affecting C&R licenses. I've heard that there will be no more guns shipped straight to your home. You will just have to go to an FFL like anyone else to get a background check. Has anyone seen any definite answers to this??

That's the way it is in Oregon now. It makes a C&R license useless.
I let mine lapse.

C&R is an FFL.

Yeah, it would be mostly worthless.  The only thing I can think of is if you have a C&R FFL you could still move C&R NFA firearms across state lines without filing a 5320.20  Oh yeah, and you still get the Brownell's dealer discount.

They passed a "Universal Background Check" law, and interpret it to mean that a C&R licensee has to transfer via an FFL.
Makes the C&R useless.

No one told you?

Oregon just got way shittier IMO.  Worse than Illinos by a factor of at least 10.

You're probably right, I haven't had a C&R FFL for a while.  There are always C&Rs out there, just not a lot of "new" one coming in now.

Brownells still offers the "dealer discount" to C&R FFLs. I just checked my account yesterday. They offer the same discount to LEOs, firearms instructors and I'm pretty sure MIL as well.

It was Midway that did away with the discounts.
