No longer will over $20,000 and 200 transactions get you a 1099k.
It's now total transactions over $600 combined and any transaction number. American Rescue Plan...lol https://mksh.com/how-the-american-rescue-plan-affects-form-1099-k/ |

Oh yeah I can see how this totally affects those billionaires they said they wanted to target. They got so rich only selling 19k a year.

"They" Like to bitch about all the energy being wasted by Bitcoin mining but never say anything about all the trees being murdered by IRS regulations and forms.

Man fuck off.
Fuck you biden and communists. So if I sell a lawnmower for 600 bucks they expect me to either pay taxes on it or have an accountant figure out a way out of that? Piss off fags |

I love bartering, it's like the dark ages, only better, but getting worse. FJB

So if I sell one item in the EE for $601 and accept any form of electronic payment it will be reported to the IRS, do I have that right?
|
|
|
What if I'm selling my own possessions that I've already been sales taxed on after being payroll taxed on? Jfc, I now get taxed 3 times on something I buy and sell?
$600 might be a single item, ie I'm getting a new living room set and the guy wants to pay for my old stuff via Venmo. One more step toward being cashless. They want to know where every dollar you make comes from, and taxing it is just one of the perks for them. If only the tea party hadn't blown it's wad a while back. This would be relevant for their name and could gain traction. However, they would have already been classified as a terrorist group, so there is that. |

First it was to stop the evil terrists under the Unpatriotic Act.
Then it was to stop all the wealthy tax cheats. Then it was to monitor all your transactions |

Most of my tenants pay via Venmo or Zelle, does this mean I have extra paperwork?
|

What rock y'all been hiding under? This has been widely reported since last March that the $20,000 / 200 transaction limit was ending this year.
Yes, if you accept PayPal/Venmo/Zelle/etc. payments totaling more than $600 per calendar year, starting with tax year 2022, you will receive a 1099-K with that amount reported to the IRS as income. So, make sure to start keeping your receipts for stuff in case you sell it in the future, you can offset that 1099-K with the appropriate expense and you won't owe taxes. |

I foresee a lot of multiple $599.99 transactions in the future
|
|

This happened a while ago with Paypal G&S. Why people on here and similar sites voluntarily give a cut to those antigunners is baffling. I do FF, venmo, zelle all the time as long as the seller is vetted.

And they’ll still ignore drug dealers, those drug dealers need to pay their fair share, the drug dealers will pay for it. Greedy drug dealers are stealing your generational wealth!!!
|
|
Oh, it's much worse than that. Remember that law they slipped in on $10k transactions at the bank? They just merely lowered the threshold to $600 now. And according to our credit union, they are pushing to make it ANY transaction you do.
|
|
I take well concealed cash, or multiple payments in sums $500 and lower.
ETA- In before crypto is somehow the answer |

The $600 reporting by all electronic payment processors passed last year and takes effect in 2022. |

Gotta help fleece everyone for them stimulus payments and fake climate control money.

I don’t recognize Joe Biden as President, therefore anything he says or does in the name of the office of President is invalid and without any legal authority. All Acts of Congress signed by him are, as far as I am concerned, not law.

Yea, pretty sure we knew about this before it was passed. But yea, massive tax increase on the little guy.

It's starting to look like this old luddite was WAY smarter then all those ''new age'' electronical payment geniuses.
Cash really IS king. Electronic is the court jester. |

What about all the payola that scumbag FJB and his family received?
When he pays taxes on that we might comply. Not. All those hypocrites in D.C. getting rich on dirty money can screw right off. I remember something about taxation and representation… |

USPS MO will make a comeback. I had to relent on electronic stuff in the EE because so many are unwilling to deal with USPS MOs. That will change now I'm sure.
