Wisconsin State Patrolman Trevor Casper was killed when he exchanged gunfire with a bank robbery suspect. The suspect was also killed. I will update when I find more information. It appears he was a trooper for less than a year, with family ties to Kiel, Wisconsin

RIP Det. Kerrie Orozco...
5/20/15 We truly lost a great one. She was a member of the Gang Suppression unit in North Omaha. Not only did she combat gangs and their violence....in her off time she volunteered for a local boys and girls club for troubled or disadvantaged youths to try and keep them off the streets. She was also routinely spotted at the homeless shelters on her off time. Kerrie gave birth to a premature baby and the little on was in the hospital for 4 months and was being released today. She never even got to hold her baby outside of the hospital. She also had two step children. A very large part of this community was taken from us today too early. Someone who made a difference...who became a cop for all the right reason. A POS shot her in the throat and she coded at the scene and was pronounced dead at the hospital. They were looking for him for a felony warrant from a prior shooting. The POS was also killed. I hope she got a shot at him.

His patrol car left the roadway and struck a tree on FM 38, approximately one half mile north of County Road 35450, in Tigertown. Officer Snyder was mortally wounded while responding to a disturbance where he encountered the suspect leaving a residence. During the initial encounter the suspect fired striking Officer Snyder killing him almost immediately. Assisting Officers engaged the suspect multiple times; he is currently in critical condition. Detective Del Rio was born in Mexico City, Mexico, raised in Chicago, Il., and lived in Dayton most of his life with his wife, Kathy, with whom he raised five "beautiful girls."
