About 10 miles north of the Texas border, I was with a few other hunting buddies and we followed directed traffic through an immigration checkpoint. The officers spent about 10 seconds with each vehicle asking questions. So we pulled up, I had the window down and the officer asked in one long sentence as he glanced us over "Are you all Americans yup" and just waved us by. Wouldn't even let me stop.

My buddies and I were probably the whitest people he saw all day. We got white privileged.

I demand Justice! Like "Justice" the store. So I can go shop for some bling for my kids so they don't look as white as me.

The struggle is real

We have all kinds of Border Patrol checkpoints in this region.   You'll encounter one if you get very far from your A.O.

I always get a kick out of some agent with the gall to ask "where I'm headed."

I just point straight ahead and say, "That way."

Its rough to come up with new material. They asked beans or no beans to the guy infront of you.

Ran into one in southern California visiting my brother and his wife. She WASNT American , she is now. she was on a green card and was freaking out that her legal citizenship path would be in jepordy because I said yep we are all americans to the guy and was gone in 15 seconds. It took some explaining that the white guy driving a newish honda sedan, and 2 white women in it, wasn't likely "high risk" and was waived.

Years ago, my mom was moving back to Texas from Bainbridge island. So flew up and drove the morning truck for her. I took the long way to visit some friends and was driving through south texas and had to go through an immigration checkpoint.  Usual questions,  until what's in the truck? Honestly,  no fucking clue. Unlock it? Don't have a key. Boy were they not happy. This was like 96 or 97. Told the story, cooler heads prevailed and I went on my way.

I was racially profiled in La Puente, CA during the 1992 Rodney King riots.

There aren't many white people in La Puente. It's mostly Mexican and black. It's gang territory. My wife grew up in La Puente (she's Nicaraguan).

My sister married a guy from La Puente so as soon as I got to California headed to her house. I stopped at a gas station to call her for directions. LPPD lit me up and said the only reason a white boy would be in La Puente was to buy drugs. I had to put them on the phone with my sister to prove them wrong.

I ended up marrying her husband's niece

You should definitely have "Freedom Audited" them on video to demand why they explain fully how they have legally erected an illegal roadblock and are subjugating sovereign citizens to official inspection, harassments and detention.

You shouldn't have said a word to the Border Patrol agent except loudly shouting "AM I BEING DETAINED??   AM I BEING DETAINED?? ... "

Hilarity will soon follow!!

I was driving through a check point after an all-stars little league deal in Laredo and drove through the search the car lane instead of the wave through lane.

Sir, we tried to wave you through but now we have to ask questions...

American?
Where are you going?
Do you mind if we look in the trunk?

Good God! What is that stench?

12 year old boy 3 day baseball stench.

I use that one for the handful of dui checkpoints I've ever run across.

I was a DD one night in a friend of mine's brand new shelby mustang (like 2005ish). Obvious checkpoint at a 4-way and I lived like 30 miles away. Asked where I was coming from and I pointed behind the car and said "back that way".

Dude was not amused.

They checked my license and then let me go because I wasn't drinking.

A few years back I ran into a checkpoint near Alpine, Texas.  I was on my Harley, and flipped up my dark faceshield to talk to him.  Newby with an older guy, who I assume was training him.

What is your country of origin?
very formal

I answered Texas

The old guy says Get the hell out of here

No sense of humor at all :)

I have an english buddy that lives here now,  he was coming to visit me and was passing through Oakland in his XJR when he needed to stop and get gas so he pulled off the 880.  A cop lit him up and pulled him over just as he was pulling into the gas station and started in on the same speech. My buddy explained to him in proper queens english ( London inflection at that ) that he had no idea that Oakland had any kind of " rules " for white people.   The officer explained why it was a bad idea for him to pull over here next. waited for him to fill his car and escorted him back on to the freeway.  He was laughing so hard he called me while it was happening.

Happened to a friend of my outside San Diego.

He asked her if she was a citizen of the US, and she (truthfully) answered "No, I'm Canadian."

He said "that's not what we're looking for," cringed, paused and said "I didn't mean it that way... go on your way."

Grew up on the border and played a bunch of soccer in Mexico. One of my coaches was born in Mexico (had a very thick accent) but his last name was McDonald. It was fun riding back into the US with him because Border Patrol would give us a really hard time (are we getting detained this time?) because he would only speak Spanish to them and that’s not what they expected when they saw the name on the license.

I spend a lot of time talking to the BP check point guys near where I hunt in southern AZ. I also spent a lot of time with the security guys for the wall construction. Time well spent. Learned about a lot of good hunting areas, including one that a BP guy called the Big Buck Factory.

Never pass up a chance to talk to them.
