I was working a dorm I wasn't familiar with and I told a man walking by my work station he needed to brush his teeth only in the bathroom, not the day room. He waved me off and went to his bunk and continued to brush. As I passed by doing my hourly scans I said I guess you didn't hear me say you need to brush your teeth only in the bathroom area. He began to argue so I told him fine I'll just right it up. When I went back down stairs to go back to my station he got aggressive with me, and the later at my work station, brushing his teeth in an angry and aggressive manner.
I called to have him removed to the SHU and a corporal showed up to give me a break. I was talking to the corporal to my right when I looked back the inmate jumped up and spit all his toothpaste into my eyes and face, pretty much covering my whole face. The corporal called for all available officers and sent I've had blood drawn, and go back in 6 weeks for another draw. The chances I was told of catching ***c from his saliva is .0006 so I'm confident I'm safe. here is the Amish guy who assaulted me. I did better than his last victim. Terry Ratliff girl murderer |

I personally doubt there's much worse on the planet for 99.9% of decent people than working 2nd shift corrections. Maybe 0.01% thrive there, but the rest become detached from normal society and warped by constant exposure to evil assholes. |

Is this like an open sorta thing? No cells or doors? If so...I agree. Anyone with a 50 year murder sentence should not be in there. They should be in a cell. Most cops don't have to see the same people they cite every day. That power struggle shit as a CO can truly make life horrible for a bit. Standing your ground is the only option. More power to ya OP. I couldn't do that job. |
