I always start that movie out laughing.

But, before it's over, I fall asleep.

That's happened so often my wife complains every time I turn it on, "Why are you watching that?  You're just gonna fall asleep like you always do."

One time I decided to prove her wrong.  I failed.

It's still a good movie, for awhile.

That one should probably wait a few years.  LOL.

Cleavon Little deserved an Oscar for that performance.

Back in High School.. 1994-95, my senior year.  One of my friends had it on laserdisk.  He also had a projector with a movie room at his house, curtains and all.  So we'd watch it like every weekend and laugh our butts off.  Such a great movie.

I introduced my daughter to Mel Brooks movies when she was about 7 or 8. by the time she was 10, she had almost the whole library. she's 17 now and still brings them over to watch with me from time to time.

Ludicrous speed and Plaid are both Spaceballs references.

Also, my old  Model S the volume and climate controls both go to 11. It was a disappointment learning my model 3 only goes to 10. Sometimes you just need that extra.

Hey, that's just a testament to how well he nailed that role.  On screen for maybe ten seconds, and he achieves immortality.

History of the world Part 1 by Mel Brooks is another really funny one.... ";It's good to be the king."

But then, Young Frankenstein, and Blazing Saddles are also Mel Brooks movies worth watching.   The political incorrect lines (by today's standards) in Blazing saddles are legendary.

I loved Spaceballs when I was a kid.  I was 5 when it came out, so I probably didn't see it until I was like 7 when it made it to HBO.  I probably didn't even understand at least half of the jokes lol

There was another movie that I loved as a kid... it was called Moving Violations.  I remember finding the VHS tape when I was about 16-18 years old and watching it again.. lol yep, no way I even comprehended most of the funny parts of that movie when I was a kid.

Maybe I should watch Spaceballs again, it's been forever.

I think it is pretty pathetic that the actors who are cross-eyed have to look at their nose to do it.  Crossing your eyes is super easy to do without having to look at your nose.

A couple years ago, I gathered my kids around for a family movie night to watch Spaceballs. And I guess I had forgotten how much inappropriate stuff there was in there.
