I’ve adjusted the elevation all the way down and the dot is way too high.

See pics.  In the pic where the dot is mostly in the middle you can see much more of the face of the sight and you can tell the sight is tilted toward.

In the pic that shows my front sight post you’d expect the dot to be somewhere near it but it’s not even close.

What do ya think?

Even if the sight is not mounted on the gun I still have to tilt it forward to see the dot.

Adjust up not down. Going up drops the dot. You then aim higher.

If you’re adjusting “down” as labeled on the sight body (meaning bullet impact down), you’re actually adjusting the dot itself UP.

If you’re trying to cowitness irons to a dot, you need to adjust the opposite as marked on the sight for direction of dot travel.

For example, if the dot is left and high of your irons, you need to turn (as marked on the sight) left and up.  Fairly common mistake.

In your case, you need to adjust the elevation as marked “up.”  It’ll bring the dot down.

I adjust the sight all the way up or down …and it’s still way too high. Like not even close.

I’ve never had this issue with any other optic so I don’t think it’s user error.

Is that some sort of dovetail adapter you have it on? That's more likely the problem than the RMR.

Maybe a stupid question, but have you shot it?  Maybe it's not designed for cowitnessing standard sights, and is instead set up for suppressor height sights?

Take it and shoot it first, you may be surprised.  Just because the dot appears high doesn't really mean much, depending on the variables.

You may be SOL then.  I’d start reaching out to manufacturers.

1. How is it mounted, and on what gun?

2. Are you using suppressor height sights?

Why waste ammo if it's way off POA?

I had an RMR fail like that.

Trij said the lens was delaminated/unglued.  They sent me a fixed one and I sold it...

I have one with the same problem.   I need to send it back for repair.

FYI,   if you try to adjust it all the way.   The screw will pop out and springs will fall out.

Did you try moving your head to see if the dot position changes?
