And it's awesome!
Why I didn't know about these before? Anyone else prefer them? |

Only drawback I've found is the need for absolute sharpness in the blades...all of the v cutters I've had have necessitated sending back to resharpen sooner and more frequently than my other types as they beginto crush or tear easier when dulling up..

I found the v-cuts are too easy to draw on and thus the tobacco get too hot.

I bought the Colibri like the picture above, in rose gold, with a duel cutter. I love it thank goodness, because it was $75 from Amazon. I use both sides, but I like the regular cut for 60 and up. Attached File

Colibri V-cut numba one. they frequently go on sale at Cigar Monster

|
I also have a Palio V cutter which is much shallower of a cutter. Probably a better V cutter for smaller gauge cigars. Attached File

A v-cutter was the best $40 I’ve spent on cigar-related things since my last Padron. Get one if you don’t already.

Seems like this has become the new thing. I may have to try it. I have been using my Palio for like 10 years with no troubles, so seeing that Palio makes a V makes me wanna try.

I recently switched also after an older gentleman talked me into it at the cigar bar store. What a difference from a guillotine cutter.

I'm going to order one. Been thinking about it for a while. Now just to decide if Xikar or Colibri.
Been smoking a lot of torpedos lately and I think it will work better than what I've been using. |

Been thinking of grabbing the VX2 and Colibri Quasar, could use the code for 17% off with the code RCIGAR17 from reddit (must be over $50). The deals at Monster shift every day, they did have a blue Colibri V cutter that fell off the other day, it will probably be back along with other colors. |

My $4 V cutter finally crapped the bed, but I now use the short blade on my SAK SwissChamp and things are grand, again.

Bought a cheap one off amazon to try since I was ordering. After half dozen cigars like it a lot. Less mess, less hassle, and good draw on all the cigars. Now to order a good one.

The Colibris and Xikar are on Cigar Monster today in a couple different colors. Also a cheaper lotus v-cutter. cigarmonster

I have a xikar guillotine & vx2 but got this for the house after using it in a cigar shop & I love it. ETA: there's two different sizes of V-cut and guillotine for different ring gauges. If you want a punch for $0.00 take a piece of brass and take your chamfer/deburring tool till sharp and it works perfect. Attached File |

I have a Colibri V cutter on the way. It'll be fun to give it a try. Did not get the SV, just the regular V cutter since I already have a couple guillotine cutters.

The Colibri V-Cutter is the best in my opinion. I have Xikar lighters & the Xikar XO cutter, but the Xikar V-cutter is too shallow. The Colibri gives a much better V-cut.

Another V-cut person here, and usually with a cheapo cutter. I've also found a "V" is easy to do with a pocket knife. Perhaps that's my most common method.

Ordered a Colibri a while back. I know this will be hard to believe, but it came UPS where they eventually last leg using the USPS. It's been between the two same towns now a half dozen times back and forth. If I ever get it should hae lots of miles on it. "If" I ever get it. It's not under something I guess it gets scanned coming and going, and going and going lol.

Trying to checkout at cigar monster but their cart keeps erroring out due to a host failure. Really wanna try a V cutter.

My colibri v cutter from cigar monster finally came in. Used it twice and it makes a really good deep cut.
