I lost a close friend and fellow Ham radio operator, Victor Finegold KK4IP. Victor was a combat engineer during WW2 and was with the first wave on Omaha beach on D-Day. In years past, local history teachers would ask Victor to come to their history class and lecture the students about WW2 and his experiences on D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, and during WW2. After VE Day, Victor's unit was assigned to the Pacific and Victor was stationed on Okinawa and later with the occupational forces in Japan. Victor was a humble man and would tell me about his war experiences and what it was like and the combat he seen and was in and also show me the pictures he had taken during the war. He was 96 and his memory and mind was just as sharp as a 20 year old.

RIP my dear friend, you will be missed.
