I live in Ohio.  74 degrees and a perfect summer day.

Maybe a chance of a short afternoon rain to keep the grass and peppers growing

Cold snap here. High of 89 today.

Until today it’s been fucking miserable with the humidity.

Middle TN.

Index has been over 105 for two weeks.

Last night I turned the air conditioner on, I ran it one other time this year. This week is suppose to be close to 90 *F and we are all expected to die of climate anxiety.

Florida humidity is also insane. Maybe they don't go outside there either?

I also live in OH and it's stormy and about 70f here.

Yesterday it was 91 and about 95% humidity. I was out cutting down trees, sawing them up for firewood, and mowed about 1.5 acres walking behind my DR brush cutter.

My shirt was wringing wet. I drank about a gallon of water/tea. Felt good and slept well.

People are such coddled pussies today.

I have a really good measure of dry vs. wet heat in the house, since we have a steam shower and a sauna.  In my experience, 120 degrees of super-humid heat, is as bas as 190 degrees of dry heat.

My aunt, who lived in Florida, would stay inside all day and keep her house at like 60 and then complain about the heat. Every day I came back after working outside all day in triple digit heat and humidity the shock of it would nearly kill me. But it was a dry cold I guess.

Summers with 90 or higher ambient temp for over 30 straight days.  High humidity (70% +) from, among other things, huge evaporation from the river/lakes.  Middle TN may not have the peak temperatures of further south, but on average is hotter longer than many locations much further south.
