Background:
-I did CrossFit main site from 2008-2013
-CrossfitFootball after a SLAP repair from 2013-2016. That was my favorite.
-A brief time doing JohnnyWOD 2016-2017. Same guy as CFFB doing the programming.
-Didn't have much of a program from 2017-2018.
-Local CrossFit gym in 2018-2020.
-No program from 2020-2022, but kind of stuck with CFFB-type WODs. Did a lot of mountain biking and heavy bag in 2022.
-Picked up Jacked Street in December 2022. Same guy programming as CFFB. This is more of a bodybuilding program.
I've been enjoying it. My best squat effort was 6 reps at 405 in early 2020 to beat a college football player who thought he could beat "the old guys". I hit 430 last summer for a PR.
Yesterday was a day to find a 1RM. I worked up past 400 pretty quick and went for 435. It felt good, so I threw 450 on the bar and aced it.
