We usually do three people to a side.
Then we get together, grab some beers and horsetrade. “I’ll take the roast and skirt steaks, you take two porterhouse steaks.” I’m overdue. Time to place an order. Gonna order a pig, too. Enjoy, OP! |

We split a whole 3 ways. Usually 6-700 lbs. Best beef I've ever had.

I have a November 3 date with the local processor for one of my cows. She is about 1100=1200# on the hoof. 1/2 Angus and 1/2 Hereford. |

My family of 5 eats all the hamburger from a 1/4 in about 3 to 4 months. There are always a few roasts left but by then we have another 1/4 in the freezer. Best meat around! I tell people all the time they are foolish to buy beef at the grocery store

We've been getting a half for the last ten years and this is easily the biggest so far. Not complaining, although they keep putting the flank into ground beef. I did get the tongue and ox tail though. Tongue makes the best tacos.

 Attached File1/2 beef, 1/2 pig, 1/2 deer, 1/2 antelope plus a real good garden this year. The other freezer looks the same.  I go speed goat hunting this coming Monday. Might have to use the garage freezer. We hate going to the store. |
