If it's hosted elsewhere, use the IMAGE tool in the reply editor and post the URL to it there.
If you want to upload it to your ARF media storage, you cannot do it with the "attach image" in the reply editor, you need to go to "My Media" under the user menu and you can upload .gifs there. |

GIF images (especially animated) that aren't avatars need to be on a hosting service and then linked. Image Upload directly only does PNG and JPG. |
