Modern Marvels is one of the best shows ever. A quick documentary on just about any subject, but always interesting and informative. After several years of being off the air History Channel received lots of feedback to bring back one of the greatest shows they ever made. Well, because they hate us, they brought it back, but only to destroy it by having a host, who just talks about food. We are used to watching Adam Richmond stuff his face for money and to prove he has no dignity, but why combine that model with modern marvels. Is anyone disappointed with that he new modern marvels format and History’s never ending attempt to destroy itself

In all that you shed no light on what is it you don’t like about it beyond a very vague “there’s food in it.”

Help us out and pretend like you’re talking to folks who don’t automatically know what you’re referring to. Because we don’t.

Instead of it being a documentary show, Adam Richmond just goes to different food factories and eats

So, it’s about modern food or something now?

Cut your cable, then you don’t have to worry about it

Military History Channel still runs some old Modern Marvels that have to do with military things.

Are you upset that he’s the narrator or the format is all about food? If that’s what the format is.

I remember the first few shows, Panama Canal, Hoover Dam and Golden Gate Bridge. The absolute best right there

I just have Sling and usually only watch a show or two with the wife before we go to bed. It is just disappointing.

Whoever the host is and whatever he was doing was unwatchable.

My kids and I love watching it together. It tricks them into learning

Give the guy a chance, OP.

Mike Rowe didn't come into his own until Dirty Jobs.

Watch a few episodes, and if you don't like it, then stop watching.

I like that show.  Hopefully, he'll be a decent host.

Very first time I discovered "How it's Made", I unintentionally watched it all night, right up to the point that my alarm was going off to get up in the morning. Thankfully I've never had cable so I never watched it after that.

History went down hill. Pawn Stars and The fucks who buy junk,

among other changes. I want History on a history channel.

My wife turns it off when I trick them into watching it with me, then she puts on YouTube videos of kids playing with dolls (and blatant paid product placement) they're addicted to. She's a special education teacher.

My youngest kids just finally stopped watching those videos. Just hearing the voices makes me cringe
