You and I. And @DK-prof, @Paul, and @WhiskersTheCat. How about we stop being weak?
Did you workout today? When is the last time you went to the gym? Done any boxing or ground fighting lately? Or how about more generally, when is the last time you intentionally did something that would make you horrifically uncomfortable in a manner meant to improve your tolerance for discomfort? When is the last time you went to the range? Last time you read a book on history, warfare, philosophy, mathematics, economics, or the hard sciences? Taken first aid or other medical training? Pulse checked whatever faith and principles you let guide you? We have to be better. You and I, and those in our circles. Find training, find discipline, reach for excellence. We need this. You need this. Let's help each other. Sign up for the @RustedAce event known as Cola Warrior. Or your local run and gun. Or med training. Find what will motivate you, and get fit- mentally and physically. Soon. |

Taught a bjj class today, then took my kids hiking, I would say I'm foing alright
|

Spent today cleaning the house and doing laundry for the wife for Mother's Day while she and the daughter went shopping all day.
Of course, I was wearing my PC and dryfiring at everything around the house, so that counts, right? |
|
@Ben
I like the cut of your jib, sir. I had to work today, 7-4. Mowed the yard when I got home, finished with the weedeater. Seafood dinner using the grill, stovetop. and oven. |

But i know there are arfcommers that are doing more than i. *Also recently got state pesticide license with 3 ssparate category tests above 92% in each. And closing on a house soon. |

I go back to lifting weights on Monday. Much as I want to, I can't run due to an injury that didn't heal right and as badly as I want to get back into martial arts my work schedule and finances don't allow it.
|
|
I’ve worked push-ups @80% of max into my day, every 2 hours. Every week my max goes up 2-3 reps. It takes little time.
Need to get back to the rower. |
|
I work out regularly and challenge myself with very physical chores (like today - cleaned home to include detailed stuff like cleaning the fridge, steam cleaning carpets; mowed lawn/worked on garden; etc. and my back is killing me)...
I need to get back to the range I also need to get into some fighting/training to fight - long time since "combatives" in the Army and/or me doing a mud race (did Spartan, Toubh Mudder, etc. a while back) |
|
How about a mountain bike course with rifle on a pack, maybe a shotgun and a sidearm, too? Sporting clays, but using a bicycle to maneuver between stages.
|
|
Jump rope, push up, pull up, squats and 21,000 steps today.
Legs are sore. |
|
Hypertrophy day from the Pat McNamara Combat Strength Training course.
Smoked. Glad Sunday is rest day. I have chores to do. |
|
I have stopped hiking and now am drinking, so let me tell you a tale

In spite of a long day at work after a shitty night with little sleep I knocked out an hour of cardio.
Attached File Down almost 20 pounds and still dropping. Doing an APC hike next Saturday after a morning CPR and Stop the Bleed class. Still on track to do my first NRA 600 yard High Power match in a couple more weeks. |

I lifted weights and biked for 40 minutes. Yesterday I ran.
I do need to get to the range more often. |

You turned on God.

I’m on Day 69 doing the 75 Hard program with four friends from work. Two men, two women. Each day consists of Two 45 minutes workouts (one must be outside), drink one gallon of water, read 10 pages of a non-fiction book, no alcohol, chose a diet and no cheat days and take a progress pic each day. I started the program at 184lbs, was 173lbs on day 50. I shoot once a week. Doing my part.

View Quote APC has an event like this. We are even doing it again this summer. Except you're on foot. With combat equipment and a 35lbs assault pack. With only 2 stages of fire, that has a mile to get to the first one, a mile between them, and a mile to the finish. You should try it. You don't HAVE to run. |

I'm just about done with my workout. Slowly but surely getting stronger, better cardio, my heartburn is nearly gone, look better, feel better.
Can't recommend it enough to anyone who was in the dumps and stressed out over the last year. I used to box competitively when I was younger at 18's. Wish I had someone to shoot with and teach me their ways, other than PMI school I don't know shit. My weak spot and medical stuff. |
|
I too wish to be strong for the gulag. If they see my abilities maybe they'll give me an extra ration

I took my first training class today.
I’m walking about 2 miles everyday. I’m a fat ass so I have to build up. My back hurts. |

I did the dishes today. It involved my back muscles.
Workout complete |

You could have contemplated actually doing something to better yourself. Instead you make fun of the idea of others bettering themselves. Shame be upon you for your ever present lack of moral fiber, disdain for physical fitness, determination to disrupt others, and general lack of any spark of patriotic spirit. |

BJJ today. I will admit I was getting beat like a red headed step child. Towards the end I was just taking it and striking for the odd wristlock.

Today was an off day for lifting. So I did a 35 minute HIIT workout on the Stairmaster Powermill to the tune of 217 floors. Then I went home, grabbed my dog, and went for a 3 mile jaunt in the woods.

View Quote Don't worry scro everyone will have a job. People who can't shoot very well or cover ground fast will get to throw Molotovs from close range while more capable people will engage enemy forces from further out. The distraction you provide will be very helpful. Kidding not kidding. |

Religion, or lack thereof, is a very personal thing. Despite this, the reality is that it can very reasonably be argued that faith improves society, even if you aren't religious. Whatever faith props up your courage to accept and face danger when necessary, giving you comfort in knowing that even if you fail in the end you'll have peace, makes us stronger people. It doesn't even have to be faith specifically in a given religion to give you some benefit. It could be faith in G-d, or even simply be an adamant faith in you finding peace in non-existance at the end. But you should find where and in what your faith lies, and use it to sharpen and strengthen you. |
