As the likelihood of my employment termination intensifies, so does my desire to smoke a pipe.  It makes no sense that I would want to pick up another expense as a hobby, but if I get fired, I might as well enjoy the experience.

I think I'd like to start with a Savinelli.  This one seems like a good bang for the buck.  I'll probably try different types of tobacco, but I believe this one should do well for both aromatics and English blends.  Any reasons not to get that pipe?

Those are nice, but I’d look at DK’s offerings as well.

Can’t go wrong with a Savinelli.  I have been on a Stanwell freehand kick lately. I’ve got a Peterson, a Comoy, and a nice Vinland, my Danish made Stanwells are by far my best smokers. My latest acquisition, Stanwell 64 Silke Brun

Vinland would be my first choice, followed by Savinelli. I just got this one for Christmas.

Also just starting out.

I got a Dr. Grabow Grand Duke NOS for $25

Got a vintage Kirsten pipe because I like the metal and the engineering.

Then I found OMS pipes.

Got the Dragon Pup Billiard and Poker

These 2 really suit me and smoke great.

Sweet! I also like stubby items like snub nose revolvers, etc.

Can't go wrong with a billiard really. Favorite Savenelli is the estate Punto Oro 320 Author on the bottom, but the Dunhill bent billiard above it works pretty well too
