It had just crashed and I had unplugged it thankfully.

I took the covers off , drained and cleaned out all I could.

Then took it outside and flooded it with 99% alcohol and blew it out twice using about 3 quarts of alcohol.

It’s in the garage now with a fan on it.

Anything else I should be doing?

More importantly, what kind of beer?

I would hate to see a good double IPA get spilled.

Scofflaw POG IPA.  The big 16 oz  size. And it had just been opened.

I hope you bought several.  And I hope your computer recovers.

Good luck.

Should be fine. Without power it’s just plastic and metal. Sounds like you you cleaned it and let it dry.  May have a storage issue but I’d bet it would be ok.

Heh.  The key is to get ALL of the water out, and in places where there was capillary action, that can be tough without time, heat, and potentially forced air.  Since it was beer, rinsing it with alcohol was a good thing.

I once helped disaster recovery at a place that was robbed, some of their computers were left outside in the rain for a couple of days.  I inventoried which ones were non-functional, and gave them the list to submit to their insurance.  They wanted me to get rid of the non-functional computers, so I put them in the back of my truck.  At home I threw them all in a corner of the garage (which gets pretty hot in the summer), and forgot about them.   A few months later, I pulled them out.... all of them worked but one.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I’m glad alcohol was ok.
We use it to clean the bed on the 3D printer and I just grabbed it on instinct.
