No. The only time I called the police was when I had a dog in my yard that was obviously someones pet. I called in the hopes that someone reported it missing. Sure enough an old couple was taking their dog for grooming at a place almost a mile away about 6 hours earlier and it bolted. They came by and were crying because they were so happy that they were reunited. You could tell they were worried sick over it.

So they came into my back yard and retrieved the dog, walked past me without saying a word, and thanked my neighbor who was watching from the curb.

They must of thought I looked too poor to be a home owner.

Not just no, but fuck no.

This homegrown virus that is the governors' supposed authority to trample the rights and civil liberties of the citizens, and their heavy handed enforcement using the police, who have also somehow forgotten that inconvenient thing about protecting the Constitution, is way more dangerous to this country than any virus the Chinese have unleashed on the world.

If I could be convinced of this being a one time thing resulting from an extreme situation, maybe I would be OK with it. But I'm not. I think the precedent has been set, and the ease with which this occurred and the lack of kick back has been noted for future reference. Absolute power and corruption and all that.

When someone says it's not possible for Nazi Germany or Venezuela to happen here, they're full of shit or ignorant. If not for the fact that the people are armed to the teeth and not very tolerant of such bullshit, at least until now, it likely would have gone south before now.

So no. I'm not one of those. And as unlikely as it is, if someone would pull that on me - someday, somehow - it would come back to bite them.

What's this? Not practicing social distancing with your neighbors? Selling sandwiches out of your diner that was supposed to be closed? Not wearing your masks? Now you will pay for your noncompliance.

I don't think we are under a quarantine of any kind. At least I am not. I get up and go to work every morning as usual. Still go to the store about once a week. Went to my FFL (a pawn shop) and picked up a gun I ordered last week and I have ordered another one. Plan to go to the range this weekend.

I have lived in my house for over 21 years and have never paid attention to my neighbors as long as they are not bothering me, and they never have. Just got finished mowing and weed eating the yard, some neighbors appeared to be outside doing the same taking advantage of the nice (for once) weather.

Daily life is still pretty much the same for me. The main difference I see is through all of the crazy threads here like this one.

My neighbor has a little foo foo dog that came over to visit the other day. The lady called and told us the pup got out. I saw it ( about 2-3 lbs) and caught it. Wife called and told them I'd bring it over. It takes a few minutes as they live on the other side of our lake. We met at his gate and I handed the cute little thing to him. He stuck out his hand and I shook it. It was a nice interaction as the lady was distraught and happy all at the same time. Nice young family. Oh well,,,fuck obama.

I don't think we have one of those snitch lines here, even though my suburb is pretty much the Republic of Lower Karennia.

Besides, other people hoarding doesn't really have any bearing on whether or not I should have stocked up, and if they don't call about my lack of interest in begging permission for a dog and a cat then I don't see the need to make a thing out of their chickens.

No, and it doesn't matter everyone is back to work. The county did very well with self-distancing and quarantining voluntarily. 50 tested positive, 7 hospitalized and zero deaths. We didn't need JBT to do the smart things.

Most Arizonans really don't care what the governor says, judging by people at the stores and out and about. Now if we can get the bosses to do the same and reopen their businesses we'll be fine.
