anyone here have any vintage McKean, Front Range Models or TAPP cars/engines in your collection?

I worked there for a short time after I got out of the service, when I started going to school.

I have heard of McKean, but most of my stuff is all Marklin 3-rail HO, and stuff from other (mostly European) companies that is compatible with that.

I've never heard of McKean or TAPP, but have heard of Front Range Models.

I've never known anyone who had any Front Range products. Only a few references to them in magazines
years ago.

Currently made locomotives are very much higher quality than in the past, both in detailing and smoothness
of operation.

I don't think the loco's were of great quality, at least everything under the shell.
Last one I remember was a GP-9 (?)

box cars and a few other special cars were the bulk of what was made.

the only neat parts about working there, was free blems and the shop was
right next to the train line going through town, so when they came by,
we all got to step outside and watch.
