I'm looking for some .875" o.d. titanium tube for a tensioned barrel project.
I need less than a foot. Every place I can find that sells small quantities wants insane amounts for shipping. $25-$40 to ship 12" of lightweight alloy.
Does anyone have a good source with reasonable shipping costs?

How committed are you to the .875 OD?
How long do you need?

In reality, I probably need 8", but want to have some room for error. I'm considering .75, but it might throw off the aesthetics. 1", is just too big.

What wall thickness?  Do you need it to withstand any higher pressures?
Most CP Ti tubing is relatively thin wall.  0.020”-0.063”
CP Ti grade 2, most common for welded tube, will have a yield strength of about 45000-50000 pounds/sq in.  And a tensile strength around 70,000 psi.
Grade 9/3-2.5 is out there but less common.

If you need higher strength for this, you’ll need to get some 6-4 alloy Ti.  There may be some extruded 6-4 pipe out there but not in small diameters, not cheap for sure.  They would have to form short length on a press breaker, and maybe redraw it to get smaller diameters.
