The BP Ohio refinery is shut down due to an explosion last week. Some other refineries are having issues and a hurricane is in the GOM. Oil production rigs will be evacuated and some will be shut in. If you want to see $12 a gallon gas, let a major hurricane impact coastal Louisiana or the Beaumont/Baytown/Corpus Christi Texas area. Hell you may see $20 a gallon gas. And there is the FJB factor that is hanging over our head. We were down to 2.79 last week and now back up to over 3 in a week. YOU'RE WRONG! It's obviously the greedy oil guys. @Oakley Dont think I am... |

I don't get it either. RBOB is down to $2.28. Crude is back down to about $76 yet I've noticed some of the local stations raising prices throughout the last ten days or so. I've never seen so much spread in the price of gas from station to station here either. Normally they are all within a few cents of each other, but the last few days there has been a nearly 25 cent spread.

It has been holding steady at $3.89/gal here for the last couple of weeks.

That’s how you know it’s the greatest economic recovery of all time, led by the most popular President of all time - everything costs more and businesses can’t find employees.

View Quote I don't recall seeing any mention of undoing the various things the current administration did to discourage further development of petroleum resources. And wasn't it just recently that the far-left democrats in Congress were bitching at the banks for not being fully on board with trying to put the oil companies out of business by restricting their access to credit? |

I wouldn't think emptying the strategic reserve would have lasted as long as this. But it's empty now, right in hurricane season too. We are being ruled by the worst crime ring in world history and the biggest idiots both at once!
